1. Reena Roy’s real name is “Saira Ali”: 

Reena Roy (born 7 January 1957) was named Saira Ali Roy as the third daughter of actor Sadiq Ali and Sarda Ali who divorced 

After three siblings, Reena Roy’s mother renamed the fourth child Rupa Roy after the divorce. 

Her first film was cast as Reena Roy by the producer and Reena Roy entered films at a young age, deciding to help her mother and siblings financially. 

Reena Roy has two sisters Barkha and Anju and she also has a brother named Raja. 

2. Reena Roy used to dance in the club to feed her family:

Reena Roy’s parents divorced possibly due to religious indifference because Reena Roy’s mother Sharda Roy was a Hindu woman, so when she married Shakib Ali, her daughter was born. During that time when she was born, she was named Saira Ali. At the same time, when Reena was very young, her mother and father got divorced. At that time Reenarai fell in love with Shatrugan Sinha. Then the producer signed a contract to act as Reena along with Shatrughan Sinha, Sanjeev Kumar and others in a film called Hathkadi. In this case, Reena Roy tearfully made a condition that if Shatrughan Sinha accepts her love, she will act in the film and if not, she will marry another person within 8 days. Reena Roy, who married Mohsin Khan, the famous Pakistani cricketer of that era, when her career was in full swing, could not last long.

It is about 1983, when she was at the height of her fame that Reena’s heart fell on Pakistani cricketer Mohsin Khan. This was the same year, when both had decided to get married. Reena’s career was on the pitch during that time and Mohsin was also a star player of Pakistan, but both of them married each other without worrying about their careers.

In 1983, she left the film industry and married Pakistani batsman Mukusin Khan.

At the same time, it was also claimed in the reports that Reena was unable to fit herself in the lifestyle of her husband Mohsin, so she divorced her husband in the year 1990.

After returning to India, Reena tried to return to the screen but she could not succeed, then she along with her daughter started acting classes in Mumbai itself.

6. Later life and career: 

After her unsuccessful marriage had ended almost the entire career of Reena Roy. After this, Reena tried to make a comeback in films, but could not succeed. She was last seen in Abhishek and Kareena’s 2000 film ‘Refugee’.  Reena now runs an acting school with her daughter in Mumbai and is happy with her daughter.

Reena further said in the interview that in today’s time the relationship between her and her ex-husband Mohsin is normal. Reena said, ‘Since he is my daughter’s father, I respect him a lot. My daughter is still in touch with her father. Mohsin and I have had a beautiful time together at one point of time. She is currently settled in her life and I pray to God that she remains healthy and happy.

Apart from being a cricketer, her husband Mohsin Khan tried to become an actor. After Mohsin Khan retired from the field of cricket to work in films. Mohsin’s first Bollywood film was ‘Bantwara’, which performed brilliantly at the box office.

He and Aditya Pancholi’s pair was well-liked in the film ‘Saathi’. He got divorced from Reena Roy after her career froze solid in Bollywood after working in 10-11 films. 

Neither did Mohsin survive in the film industry for long and Mohsin was once again forced to join the world of cricket. At present, he is involved in the activities of Pakistan cricket.
