2. Prithvi Shaw’s early life and parents:
Hailing from the Vaish Bania caste, Prithvi Shaw was born on 9 November 1999 in Gaya, Bihar. His father’s name is Pankaj Shaw and was the primary provider because His mother passed away when he was four years old.
He was brought up by his father alone Who used to run a small business of readymade garments. A video of Prithvi is becoming increasingly viral on social media showcasing a ruckus on the road over a selfie! Prithvi Shaw’s friend’s car was attacked by 8 people simply because Prithvi Shaw had agreed to take a selfie but somehow it led to vandalizing his friend’s car.
The fight between Prithvi Shaw and a female fan began like this: Prithvi along with his friends had arrived for dinner at a five star hotel in Santacruz, Mumbai. At the same time, some fans started demanding selfies from him. Angry fans vandalized his friend’s car after repeatedly refusing selfie demands.
A video of the attack on the car is also becoming increasingly viral on social media featuring a lady brandishing Prithvi Shaw’s phone. In this, Prithvi is seen saving his phone from her. According to the report, Prithvi’s friend Ashish Surendra Yadav has lodged a report with the police. According to Ashish, his car was attacked with a baseball bat.
In his complaint, Ashish has said that the accused chased the car and threatened to file a false case against him if he did not pay the money. Police have registered a case against 8 people on this whole matter.
When Prithvi came out of the hotel after dinner, he was riding in his friend’s car. Meanwhile, the glass of the car was broken with a ball from the base. However, the hotel staff and manager pacified the matter on the spot and after that Prithvi was sent in another car.
A woman has been arrested in this case. Although different claims are being made by the lawyers of both sides it is alleged that a girl and her friends misbehaved with Prithvi Shaw, later the controversy deepened so much that the girl was arrested.
The Oshiwara police have registered a case against 8 people in this case and arrested the accused girl, the accused Sapna Gill.
The accused Sapna claims to be demanding Rs 50,000 as blackmail. Sapla Gill is a social media influencer. This incident took place in Mumbai in the early hours of Wednesday. According to Prithvi Shaw’s lawyer, two fans named Shobhit Thakur and Sapna Gill wanted to take a selfie with Prithvi Shaw who came for dinner at the hotel. Prithvi agreed to him, but then after some time he reached Prithvi Shaw along with some other people and started demanding a selfie again. This time Shaw refused him. Even then he was not leaving from there, so Prithvi called the hotel manager and got him thrown out. Enraged over the claim of attack on the car, both the fans called their friends and waited for Prithvi to come outside the hotel and as soon as Prithvi came out, 8 people surrounded him with baseball bats.
According to Prithvi’s lawyer, after this somehow Prithvi Shaw left the scene of the action but the accused started chasing his car and at a red light these accused attacked Prithvi Shaw’s car leading to his windshield being broken.
Prithvi Shaw’s friend Ashish Surendra Yadav lodged a police complaint following the incident outside a five-star hotel in Mumbai and later Oshiwara police booked eight people, including Sapna Gill, for damaging the friend’s car. According to the police report, the accused broke both the front and rear glass of Prithvi’s friend’s car as they allegedly threatened to make false allegations against Prithvi and his friend if they did not give them Rs 50,000 as blackmail money.
9. Prithvi Shaw’s IPL career:
Prithvi Shaw was bought by the Delhi Daredevils franchise in the 2018 Indian Premier League auction for 1 crore 20 lakhs and has scored the joint youngest fifty in IPL in his second match at the age of 18 years 169 days. Earlier, Sanju Samson had scored a half-century at the same age.
On 29 April 2021, while playing for Delhi Capitals in IPL, Prithvi Shaw hit 6 fours in 6 balls in Shivam Mavi’s over against Kolkata Knight Riders. Due to which he became the second batsman after Ajinkya Rahane to hit 6 fours in an over in IPL.
