However, all of the fame has not been positive. Rachel Zegler has shown a lot of disdain towards the story of Snow White and has talked at length about how her Snow White is not like the classic Snow White at all. In this post, we will take a look at Rachel Zegler’s life and career so far. Let’s get started.

Rachel Zegler: All You Need To Know

Rachel Zegler’s father is of Polish ancestry. Her maternal grandmother migrated from Colombia to the United States to give birth to Rachel’s mother, with the intention that she would be born with US citizenship while she grew up between Colombia and the United States.

Rachel Zegler grew up in Clifton, New Jersey, where she attended St. Philip the Apostle Preparatory School. She then attended Immaculate Conception High School where she starred in the school musicals all four years: as Belle in Beauty and the Beast (2016), Ariel the Little Mermaid in The Little Mermaid (2017), Dorothy Brock in 42nd Street (2018) and Fiona in Shrek the Musical (2019). For all four performances, she received Metro Award nominations in the category of Actress in a Leading Role. Her other roles included Serena in Legally Blonde, Cosette in Les Miserables, Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Mimi in Rent. She graduated from high school on June 2, 2019.

How did Rachel Zegler start her movie career?

In January 2018, legendary director Steven Spielberg posted an open casting call via Twitter for the film remake of West Side Story. Zegler, then 16, responded to the casting tweets with videos of herself singing ” Tonight ” and “I Feel Pretty”. She was selected from over thirty thousand applicants for the role of Maria. Previously, she had performed the role “a few summers” earlier at the Bergen Performing Arts Center.

What are some of Rachel Zegler’s notable movie roles?

Rachel Zegler was cast in the Shazam sequel Shazam: Fury Of The Gods. Her casting announcement was made in 2021. Angelique Jackson of Variety wrote that Zegler would “play a mysterious key role”. On June 22, 2021, she was chosen to play Snow White in the live-action adaptation of the Disney animated film. Zegler will voice the title character in the animated musical film Spellbound directed by Vicky Jenson. In May 2022, she was cast as the heroine Lucy Gray Baird in the upcoming film adaptation of The Hunger Games prequel The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

What are some of the controversies surrounding Rachel Zegler?

When Disney announced that Rachel Zegler would play Snow White in the live-action that they will make of the animated classic, many people through social networks complained about that choice because the actress is of Latin descent.

Rachel Zegler was not silent in the face of criticism for her selection as Snow White

“When it was announced, it was a big thing that was trending on Twitter for days, because all the people were angry,” the young actress said in the interview section called “Actors on Actors” conducted by the popular magazine called Variety.

Rachel Zegler spoke to Andrew Garfield about the criticism she began to receive after being cast as Snow White: “I never, in a million years, would have thought that such an opportunity could arise for me. Normally, you don’t see Snow White as someone of Latin origin. Despite the fact that Snow White is very loved in Spanish-speaking countries ”.

And for those who criticize her selection, she answered the following: “We need to love them and lead them in the right direction. At the end of the day, I have a job to do and I’m very excited about it. Plus, I can be a Latina princess.”

In addition to Zegler, it was confirmed that Gal Gadot would also be part of the “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” remake, and would play the Evil Queen, Snow White’s stepmother.

Why does Rachel Zegler hate Snow White?

This question has a slightly nuanced answer. Rachel Zegler does NOT hate the Snow White SHE is going to portray, but she hates the original Snow White character. Now, let’s not forget, Rachel Zegler is as woke as Hollywood gets. One look at her Twitter profile and you can clearly see the non stop virtue signaling and parroting of woke propaganda. The woke youth of today considers itself to be the paragon of virtues and throws condescension at everything and everyone that came before their time.

Rachel Zegler is so woke that she doesn’t even use the term “women” when she talks about pregnancy and abortion. She uses the term “pregnant people”, trying to propagate the myth that “men can get pregnant”. And this is just the tip of the woke iceberg that is Rachel Zegler’s Twitter profile. Now, just think, was a person like this ever going to say anything except what she has said about Snow White?

Of course not, because that’s not how the woke mind works. Woke people talk about inclusivity and diversity as long as the only people included are the ones who share their worldviews and opinions. There are women who dream of true love (which is what the original Snow White also did), but according to Rachel Zegler, Snow White won’t dream of that and will only dream of “becoming the leader that she can be”. While there’s nothing wrong with dreaming of becoming a leader, calling the idea of a woman dreaming of true love “dated” hardly qualifies as “inclusive”.

Here’s a montage of the “inclusive” Rachel Zegler talking about how much she hates the character she auditioned to play:

Now, there’s nothing wrong with having a negative opinion about something, but why agree to play a character that you hate? Or why not create a new character that fulfills all of her woke credentials? Leave Snow White and make a movie about a Woke Non Binary Person of Colour.

Rachel Zegler has definitely done the worst possible PR for the movie in the promotional tour so far. She has annoyed people so much that many people might not even watch Snow White because of Zegler’s presence in it.
